Job description

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the financial statement closing process, maintaining cash flow projections, and contributing to the optimization of finance business processes. You will provide support to the Director of Finance & Treasury as well as the Chief Accountant for the financial aspects of ongoing corporate projects.
Specifically, you will: 

  • Participate in the monthly financial statement closing process, including results analysis;
  • Collaborate in the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements;
  • Maintain up-to-date cash flow projections;
  • Work closely with the Chief Accountant to ensure smooth financial operations, particularly regarding accounts payable;
  • Ensure sales tax and income tax compliance and and reconcile tax accounts;
  • Participate in various financial analyses;
  • Contribute to the design, definition, and development of KPIs;
  • Work with the Finance Director on analyses and special projects;
  • Design and maintain internal controls in collaboration with the Chief Accountant;
  • Assist with annual audits;
  • Participate in compliance activities with local laws and specific requirements;
  • Perform any other related tasks required by your supervisor as part of your role.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a CPA accounting designation;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to resolve conflicts;
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel;
  • Experience with IFRS standards is an asset;
  • Successful completion of the investigation and security clearance process required by the federal government’s Contract Security Program;
