What We Are Looking For
We are recruiting for an experienced Treasury Assistant to help with the daily treasury functions. In this position, you will assist with the counting of cash and the reporting of daily cash transactions. You will also be responsible for tracking cash flow using standard bookkeeping and accounting methods. To succeed as a Treasury Specialist, you should have advanced knowledge of accounting procedures, a good eye for detail, and the ability to remain focused for extended periods. Ultimately, a top-class Treasury Specialist should help to maintain optimum business cash flow thru the proper handling of cash and use of accounting methods.
Responsibilities:
  • Support all aspects of daily treasury operations
  • Oversee cash reporting and basic forecasting, lender compliance requirements
  • Assist Lead / Supervisor / Manager with the company's treasury activities
  • Prepare and communicate daily bank transactions reports with relevant teams
  • Record incoming Cash Receipts such as Checks, Incoming wire payments, and Credit Card payments on Daily Cash flow Reports
  • Assist with handling paper checks, including preparation, issuance, and mailing of checks
  • Maintain accurate daily records of all cash transactions
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies related to cash transactions
  • Reconcile bank deposits and payments
  • Reconcile daily Cash flow Report vs. SAP checking account amounts and online banking details
  • Verify unposted amounts and discrepancies
  • Inform accounting staff or banks of any discrepancies that need to be corrected
  • Monitor Positive Pay activities and coordinate exception handling with AP and management
  • Prepare and process bank transactions through multiple banking platforms in accordance with approval procedures and internal controls
  • Support fraud prevention efforts by carefully reviewing payment activities and identifying unusual transactions
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to evolving treasury processes and banking relationships
  • Assist with cash flow management, including support for cash flow forecasts amp; management plan on an on-going basis
  • Record daily actual cash disbursements and estimated payables based on projection and actual figures
  • Help establish and maintain internal controls
  • Monitor and establish company-wide treasury policies/internal controls
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of general treasury, forecasting, budgeting, and related accounting
