Job Summary
The Cash In Transit (CIT) Specialist, is a full-time position, located in Creve Coeur, MO. The CIT Specialist supports the secure movement, reconciliation, and management of cash and valuables between bank branches, ATMs, vaults, and armored-carrier partners such as Brinks. This role ensures accurate order processing, timely pickups and deliveries, and strict compliance with bank security and cash-handling standards. The CIT Specialist acts as the primary liaison between the bank and the armored-transport provider, ensuring smooth operations, accurate reporting, and exceptional service reliability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Armored-Carrier Services - Serve as the main point of contact with Brinks for scheduling, routing, service issues, and operational updates.
  • Cash Order Management - Process branch and ATM cash orders, verify limits, and ensure timely fulfillment through Brinks or internal vault operations.
  • Monitor Pickups & Deliveries - Track daily CIT activity, confirm successful transactions, and resolve discrepancies or delays.
  • ATM Support - Oversee ATM cash levels, replenishment schedules, and Brinks servicing; escalate outages or shortages as needed.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting - Review manifests, delivery logs, and chain-of-custody documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Issue Resolution - Investigate variances, missing deposits, late deliveries, or service failures; coordinate corrective actions with Brinks and internal teams.
  • Security & Compliance - Ensure all CIT processes follow bank policies, federal regulations, and armored-carrier security standards.
  • Vendor Relationship Management - Participate in performance reviews, service audits, and contract compliance discussions with Brinks.
  • Support Branch Operations - Provide guidance to branches on CIT procedures, cash limits, packaging requirements, and escalation protocols.
  • Risk Awareness - Identify operational risks, recommend process improvements, and maintain high standards of asset protection
  • Maintain up to date and accurate job aids for all tasks assigned.
Competencies & Skills
  • Strong understanding of cash logistics, ATM operations, and armored-transport workflows.
  • Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong reconciliation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a secure, process-driven environment with strict deadlines.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 1 -3 years of experience in banking operations, cash vault services, armored-carrier coordination, or cash-handling strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, core banking systems, cash-order platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communications skills.
  • Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality and customer service.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is $19.00 to 23.28.
