Job description

The Company:

  • A prominent Fortune 500 financial services firm with a nationwide network of independent financial advisors. This company offers an extensive selection of investment products and services to individuals, businesses, and institutions, with a strong emphasis on utilizing innovation and technology to cultivate client relationships.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Monitoring key cash-control activities for quality, risk, and fraud mitigation on a high-volume operations team. You'll review transactions such as checks, wires, ACH, deposits, and journalsโ€”supporting the secure, accurate movement of funds in a deadline-driven, process-focused environment. Strong potential for extension and/or full-time conversion with strong performance and cultural fit.

Role Logistics:

  • 6-month contract
  • Location: San Diego, CA
  • Fully onsite
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Pay rate: $22โ€“$24/hr

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma plus 2+ years of relevant experience in finance or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred (not required)
  • Cash transaction review (checks, wires, ACH, deposits, journals) with a quality and risk focus
  • High attention to detail and consistent accuracy in repetitive, high-stakes work
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication, with confidence escalating concerns when needed
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Preferred: brokerage or financial services operations exposure; fraud identification/mitigation or risk controls; SLA-driven workflows; report review and compliance-aligned processing; tools such as Documentum, Siebel, or internal databases; 2+ years of general brokerage industry knowledge
