Title: Cash Applications Coordinator             

Effective date: 07/15/2025

Hours: Full Time 

Customers served (external and internal) Any member of the Summit Team, all customers, vendors, suppliers, manufacturer's representatives and any other members of the public. 

Reports To:  Cash Applications Manager 

Primarily responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate postings of cash receipts to customer accounts or other accounts for non-receivable related cash receipts.  Support other Summit Team members by ensuring customer support is provided in an accurate and timely manner. Exceptional service to external and internal customers is critical to the success of the Cash Applications Coordinator.  

Principal Accountabilities: (essential job functions)

  • Ensure the timely and accurate postings of cash receipts daily.
  • Ensure excellent service is provided to both internal and external customers.  Timely and complete resolution of all inquiries - both from internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that all appropriate parties are engaged in the resolution of matters (i.e., Credit Specialists, Account Managers, CSR's, Service Center Leaders, etc. must be consulted and informed as appropriate in matters affecting customers).
  • Support the Credit Assistants and Credit Specialists in continuous process improvement efforts, including offering suggestions on more efficient methods of workflow and implementing procedural changes as identified. 
  • Inputs all contract accounts, COD accounts, cash accounts, and main accounts. 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in using 10-key.  Excellent data entry skills, including entry of high-volume of alpha-numeric data.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Attention to detail and a desire to ensure the highest degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning capabilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation - both external and internal.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.
  • Time management - strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility - ability to effectively adapt to change.
  • H.S. education or GED equivalent is required. 

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

  • Cash Applications experience in similar organization or industry. 
  • Previous experience in SAP. 
  • Previous experience in High Radius.

Physical Challenges:

    • Consistent sitting for many hours at one time.  Majority of day (85%+) is spent sitting at desk.
    • Must be able to lift 5 pounds on a regular and consistent basis.
    • Regular and consistent use of keyboard.
    • Ability to climb stairs on occasion.
    • Majority of job is located inside office.
