About The Role

The Defense Mission and Health Solutions team, Benefits, Claims & Integrity Solutions Operating Unit seeks a  IT Director to support our Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) customer delivery and be part of the leadership for CMS Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) initiatives.  The IT Director will lead technology operations, strategy, and modernization efforts supporting our Eligibility Support programs. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable IT services that enable case processing, customer service operations, and missioncritical human services programs for our government customers. You will partner with program leadership, state and federal stakeholders, and crossfunctional Peraton teams to ensure that systems, infrastructure, and applications effectively support eligibility determination, enrollment, and ongoing case management functions.

What you'll do:

  • Provide strategic leadership for all IT services supporting Eligibility Support operations, including infrastructure, applications, data management, and security
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across application development, system operations, service delivery, and technical support
  • Oversee system performance, uptime, service levels, and issue resolution for highvolume eligibility processing environments
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison with customer IT organizations, state agencies, vendors, and Peraton program leadership
  • Direct modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, platform upgrades, automation, and digital transformation efforts
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and agencyspecific security requirements
  • Manage IT budget, resource planning, vendor relationships, and technology procurement
  • Establish technical roadmaps, architecture standards, and operational best practices
  • Oversee change management processes, release planning, and configuration controls
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across Eligibility Support systems and support centers
  • Lead risk management, cybersecurity posture, and incident response activities
  • Support proposal development, customer presentations, and growth initiatives as needed
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including oversight of enterprise systems or large operational programs
  • Direct experience supporting government human services, health eligibility systems, or largescale operations centers
  •  Strong understanding of eligibility platforms, rules engines, data interfaces, and case management workflows
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), DevOps practices, and enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse technical teams in fastpaced, missioncritical environments
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and customerfacing leadership skills
  • Experience with ITIL processes, service management, and compliance frameworks
  • US Citizen and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active public trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or a Master's Degree
  • Experience providing IT Leadership for government-administered eligibility programs within health and human services domain
  • Prior experience in a government contracting environment
  • PMP, ITIL, SAFe, or cloud certifications
  • Experience managing modernization or legacy system transformation projects

Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
