Position Overview:
The Bilingual Case Processing Aide provides operational and logistical support to Case Processing Specialists and facility staff within an ICE processing environment. This role assists with coordinating detainee movement, facilitating communication between operational teams, and supporting administrative workflows that enable efficient case processing operations.
Case Processing Aides ensure the smooth functioning of processing activities by assisting with document routing, coordinating with facility personnel, and supporting daily operational needs of the processing team.
Essential Functions:
Operational Support to Case Processing Teams
  • Provide direct support to Case Processing Specialists during daily processing operations
  • Assist with organizing case files and preparing documentation packets for processing staff
  • Deliver and retrieve documents between processing teams, supervisors, and designated government personnel
  • Maintain organized document staging areas and ensure files are routed correctly

Coordination with Facility Departments
  • Coordinate with facility security staff to facilitate movement of individuals required for case processing activities
  • Communicate with medical personnel when individuals require medical clearance or attention during processing operations
  • Coordinate with facility operations staff to support orderly workflow within processing areas
  • Assist supervisors in locating individuals needed for interviews, processing activities, or administrative actions

Detainee Movement & Operational Support
  • Escort individuals, with Corrections support, between designated processing locations when authorized by facility procedures
  • Assist in coordinating the flow of individuals during intake, interviews, and processing activities
  • Ensure individuals are directed to the correct processing locations according to operational instructions

Communication & Workflow Support
  • Relay operational messages between processing teams, supervisors, and facility staff
  • Assist supervisors with coordinating daily processing activities
  • Support processing teams by ensuring required personnel or individuals are present for scheduled activities
  • Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure efficient processing operations

Compliance & Operational Support
  • Follow all facility security procedures and operational protocols
  • Maintain professionalism and situational awareness within the processing environment
  • Immediately report operational issues, safety concerns, or workflow disruptions to supervisors
  • Assist with maintaining an organized and secure processing workspace

Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a coordinated processing team
  • Professional communication skills in fast-paced operational environments
  • Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) tools
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) or more years of administrative, clerical, or records management experience preferred
  • Experience supporting government operations, legal administration, or immigration processing environments preferred
  • Bilingual
  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with federal contract requirements

Requirements of Employment
  • Employees must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the following screening:
    • Federal background investigation (up to and including a Tier 4 DHS clearance)
    • Criminal history check
    • Verification of employment and education history
    • Compliance with all government credentialing requirements

  • Employees must adhere to all federal security, confidentiality, and operational protocols while working within government facilities.

Work Environment
  • Fully onsite position within an ICE processing facility in Maryland
  • Work schedules include 24/7 coverage, and may include shifts on overnights, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during facility operations
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions
  • Capability to work in varied environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, temperature variations)
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations throughout the facility
  • Visual acuity for detailed computer work and document review
  • Auditory ability to conduct interviews and monitor facility for safety concerns
