Job description

Spiritual Counselor

Pay:$19.00 per hour
Job Type:Full-time, Non-Exempt
Schedule:Mid to evening shift
Benefits:Health Ins. with Dental, Vision & Hearing, Pension, & 403b option.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community.You'll provide spiritual guidance and counseling to individuals facing various challenges including addiction, homelessness, and other life difficulties. This role is crucial in supporting our beneficiaries' recovery journey through spiritual guidance and rehabilitation planning.

What You'll Do

Counseling & Assessment

  • Conduct in-depth interviews with newbeneficiaries
  • Provide individual and group spiritualcounseling
  • Design and manage individual rehabilitationplans
  • Monitor and evaluate programeffectiveness
  • Lead interactive journaling and groupsessions
  • Assess and address spiritual needs ofbeneficiaries

Program Management

  • Maintain detailed case notes in Service Pointdatabase
  • Track rehabilitation progress and update plans asneeded
  • Complete Self-Sufficiency Matrix assessments
  • Coordinate with community agencies for additional services
  • Develop and implement special projects asassigned
  • Monitor work therapyprogress

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain secure online beneficiaryfiles
  • Complete weekly case notes and progress reports
  • Update electronic records withindeadlines
  • Provide statistical information for monthlyreports
  • Document service delivery and program outcomes
