About the Role:
Niedea Safe Care LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Independent Living Skill Trainer to join our team in Staten Island, NY. In this rewarding role, you'll empower individuals to build the essential life skills they need to thrive with greater independence and confidence. Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one independent living skills training to clients in home and community settings
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans tailored to each client's goals and needs
  • Teach daily living skills such as meal preparation, budgeting, personal hygiene, and household management
  • Support clients in navigating community resources, transportation, and social services
  • Monitor and document client progress, updating care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with case managers, families, and support teams to ensure coordinated care
  • Encourage client self-advocacy and promote community integration
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; degree in human services, social work, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, mental health needs, or developmental challenges
  • Strong knowledge of independent living skills training and person-centered care principles
  • Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within Staten Island, NY
  • Bilingual candidates are a plus
