The internship provides exposure to the daily responsibilities of case management, such as advocating for clients, collaborating with service providers, and developing care plans. Your caseload may include conducting client intakes, helping create care plans, and connecting clients with community resources. You'll collaborate closely with social workers, healthcare professionals, and other service providers, gaining firsthand experience managing cases and supporting clients toward stability.
