Job description


I. Job Summary

The Account Executive (AE) position is a role that is focused on three main objectives: To retain current customer base; expand WMHS value and grow existing customer base; and to engage in active prospecting/hunting to acquire new customers and obtain incremental revenue through sales calls, lead campaigns and prospecting in their designated territories.

Must live in the greater Brampton, ON or Halifax Nova Scotia area as this position is hybrid.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Make outbound sales calls to prospective customers to sell WMHS's services and/or products. Acquire new customers and convert existing customers through prospecting in assigned territory, outbound marketing/lead campaigns and referrals.
  • Provide required service to existing customer base in your designated territory for any and all service requests via email, incoming call queue and web cases via Salesforce.
  • Target upgrade and cross-sell opportunities of additional WMHS products/services.
  • Recontract existing customers who are nearing end of contract term and attempt to renew with additional services and favorable terms.
  • Effectively utilize consultative selling strategies to qualify clients and attain a minimum 100% of assigned revenue and quota goals.
  • Build a pipeline of potential future business by actively prospecting via marketing/lead campaigns, territory lists, the Internet and other sources identified.
  • Effectively meet or exceed assigned performance metrics and key expectations within assigned parameters including number of outbound calls/CRM activities, prospect development activities, quotes sent, close rates, and task management activities (i.e., sales cycle, pipeline and case management). Track details and results for all leads, opportunities, issues and losses in CRM tool.
  • Collaborate within a team environment and work cross-functionally with other teams to contribute to our world-class sales culture.
  • Work in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment that recognizes and rewards top performers.
  • Strictly adhere to the Rules of Engagement policy, all prospects/calls must be researched, verified and documented in Salesforce.com. Keeps comprehensive and accurate notes about customer interactions in the system.
  • Assist/Support any other specific assigned projects and/or job-related duties as required or requested.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.


III. Qualifications 
A. Required Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or equivalency (accredited)
  • 2 years of Experience in Sales/Marketing in telephone-based sales or related work experience
     


B. Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Must have experience with customer relations, support and exhibit leadership abilities
  • Ability to learn company features of all company products and services, at varying levels of account options
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook are required
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com tool is preferred
  • Knowledge of Canadian regulatory standards related to waste handling, workplace safety, and healthcare (e.g., CCOHS guidelines, provincial environmental regulations, WHMIS) is preferred
  • French speaking (bilingual) would be an asset but not required

    Combination: This job operates in a mix between an office environment and plant/field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.

    PAY:  The expected base pay range for this position across Canada is $21.26 - $24.60. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.  In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.
