Job description

Legal/Litigation Assistant or Paralegal – Greenville Office


We are seeking an experienced Legal/Litigation Assistant or, depending on experience, a Paralegal, to provide high-level legal and administrative support and potentially Paralegal support in our Greenville office. The office will eventually need both a legal assistant and paralegal. We are currently flexible on hiring one or the other or potentially training a legal assistant to move into a paralegal position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys, including document preparation, formatting, and proofreading
  • Assist with case management, including maintaining files (electronic and hard copy) and tracking deadlines
  • Coordinate scheduling of hearings, depositions, meetings, and conference calls
  • Handle state and federal e-filing of pleadings and other court documents
  • Prepare and update spreadsheets, presentations, and correspondence
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a litigation legal assistant or litigation paralegal required
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with e-filing, scheduling, and general litigation support is required
  • Professional demeanor and strong written and verbal communication skills
