Role summary
We're looking for a VP of Sales to lead Caruso's commercial expansion into the US, the world's largest and most competitive private markets economy. This is a rare opportunity to use AI to revolutionise an industry that still runs on spreadsheets and manual processes, selling a modern platform into a market dominated by legacy incumbents. You'll work side by side with the global CEO to design the GTM strategy, hire the first US sales team, and build the commercial engine that will anchor Caruso's next phase of growth.
This role is built for an AI-native sales leader who wants meaningful equity in a high-growth company and the runway to grow into a global executive role. You've used LLMs to build real things yourself and want to apply that same mindset to design a sales function that outpaces the legacy competition from day one. You'll own US revenue end-to-end, from strategy through to deal execution, and shape the culture and playbook that the team runs on as it scales.
What you'll do
  • Design and own the US GTM strategy. Partner directly with the global CEO to define segmentation, ICP, positioning, pricing, and sales motion for the US market.
  • Build and lead the US sales team. Hire the first wave of AEs, SDRs, and GTM engineers. Set the bar for talent, coach to it, and grow a team that can carry the number as Caruso scales.
  • Shape the sales culture. Establish the operating rhythm, values, and playbook that define how Caruso sells. Build a team that clients trust and competitors respect.
  • Close foundational deals. Lead senior conversations with CFOs, COOs, and Managing Partners at US private equity, private credit, and real estate managers. Stay hands-on in the early days while building the team around you.
  • Build the commercial infrastructure. Implement the forecasting, CRM discipline, enablement, and reporting that make a sales org scalable and predictable.
  • Partner with marketing and product. Feed market signal back into the business so positioning, pricing, and the platform sharpen with every deal.
  • Represent Caruso in the US market. Be a credible voice at industry events, in client boardrooms, and in the strategic conversations that position Caruso as the modern alternative to legacy administrators.

What we're looking for
  • 10+ years in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in sales leadership and a track record of building teams from the ground up.
  • Proven ability to close and scale enterprise deals with complex buying committees and long sales cycles.
  • Experience selling into financial services, fintech, or SaaS platforms used by asset managers. Private markets, fund admin, or GP/LP domain experience strongly preferred.
  • Track record of hitting and exceeding number in a high-growth, early-stage environment, not just running a mature team inside a large incumbent.
  • Builder mindset. You get energy from designing playbooks, hiring A-players, and creating the operating rhythm of a high-performing sales org.
  • AI-native. You've used LLMs to build real projects at work or on your own, and you're energised by the idea of applying these tools to build a world-class sales function at Caruso. Come ready to share examples.
  • Strong commercial acumen and hands-on experience owning a revenue line.
  • Client-first mindset with the communication chops to engage CFOs, COOs, and Managing Partners as a peer.
  • Ambition to grow into a global executive role as Caruso scales.
  • Ideally based in Dallas, Texas, with flexibility for the right person. Willingness to travel domestically as the team and client base expand.

Benefits
  • Meaningful equity ownership. Be part of the leadership team driving Caruso's next phase of growth.
  • Build a local US sales team. You'll hire and grow the team in the US, set the culture from day one, and own the commercial engine end-to-end.
  • A role with genuine autonomy, impact, and visibility, sitting directly alongside the global CEO.
  • Industry-leading technology and a customer base of leading private fund managers.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Generous paid time off and unlimited sick leave.
  • Extended parental leave.
  • Workstation package including MacBook Pro, dual screens, and AirPods Pro.
  • Flexible work arrangements as the US team and offices take shape.
