Overview

Ansley Golf Club is seeking an Outside Service Cart Attendant at the Roswell location. The selected candidate will work closely with the Head Golf Professional, Assistant Professionals as well as other Outside Services staff; to ensure the highest level of service to the membership and their guests. A successful candidate will be responsible for the daily outside operations under the supervision of the Assistant Golf Professionals.

The Outside Service Attendant will be an integral part of the Golf Operations team and report to the Assistant Professionals and Head Golf Professional.


Summary/Objective

The Golf Service Attendant is responsible for attending to our members and guests from arrival through departure and for providing personal attention and overall exemplary service. Duties may include handling of members' and guests' golf equipment and belongings; golf cart staging, care, and upkeep; practice ball distribution, collection, and cleaning.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Greets members and guests at the bag room and ensures prompt and courteous service from bag room to carts.

2. Provides quick and courteous service in handling golfers' bags (members and guests) in parking lot and at bag drop.

3. Ensures bag room is kept in numerical order (by name tag) and updates are made to the master bag room list.

4. Maintains bag room and cart area cleanliness by adhering to the following guidelines: stores bags in proper racks, sweeps floors, vacuums daily, and cleans and stores towels properly.

5. Cleans and properly stores all clubs after each use.

6. Cleans and prepares golf carts for use (i.e. stocks towels, tees, pencils, scorecards).

7. Reports any cart problems to mechanics and professional staff in a timely manner.

8. Follows closing procedures which includes cleaning the outside bag room area, emptying trash, and ensuring the bag room is organized for the morning shift.

9. Sets up and breaks down the driving range.

10. Maintains responsibility over range picking.

11. Picks, cleans, and replenishes balls.

12. Stages, cleans, parks, and performs routine maintenance (i.e. tire pressure and batteries) on carts.

Work Environment

The Service Attendant operates in the Golf Shop bag room and on the golf course in a member services environment. The person in this role routinely interacts in a professional manner with employees, members, and guests.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to lift/move/carry up to 50 lbs., unassisted.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position requires the ability to work Wednesday through Monday, 6:30 AM until 9:00 PM.

Required Education and Experience

  • 6 months customer service experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 6 months previous golf industry, retail, or hospitality.
