Job description

Position: Golf Course Range Crew/Cart Assistant (part-time/seasonal)

Rate: $16.50/hour

Application Deadline: 7/31/2026

Foothills is seeking Range Crew/Cart Assistants for the Meadows Golf Club and Foothills Golf Course.This position is responsible for the staging and cleaning of the carts for customers to use. The duties of this position also include picking up and cleaning the range balls and being able to assist customers with loading or unloading their clubs.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for greeting patrons and assisting patrons in loading and unloading equipment into/from carts.
  • Responsible for staging carts which includes bringing carts from the cart barn in the morning, cleaning (wash and dry/wipe down steering wheels and seats and trash removal), fueling and checking carts after each use and returning carts to cart barn at the end of the day. Ensure that carts are available for player use at all times.
  • Inspect golf carts for damage or operational problems (mechanical, steering, and/or tire and brake problems). Report problems to supervisor/golf shop.
  • Assist with retrieval of malfunctioning golf carts and locate missing carts. Ensure all carts are accounted nightly and lock and secure cart barn.
  • Maintain working areas in clean and orderly condition by keeping cart storage area clean and litter free, cleaning in front of shop and drain, and cleaning of smokers cans.
  • Keep driving range ball baskets full and in good supply by retrieving, cleaning, and filling dispenser with range balls throughout the day.
  • Maintain, inspect, and clean rental golf clubs and pull carts.
  • Ensure that facility rules and safety standards are followed.
  • Attend ALL staff meetings, trainings, and orientations.
  • Attend work on a regular, reliable and punctual basis; subs for co-workers when available; is responsible for securing substitutes for shifts unable to work.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application.
  • Previous golf operations experience preferred.
  • Work experience involving assisting the public.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to safely operate a golf cart.
  • Knowledge of general cleaning equipment (i.e. ball washers and range picker)
