$9.00/hr.
SUMMARY
The golf cart attendant works closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Professionals on the outside golf operations to assure a smooth transition for customers. Primary responsibility falls on service to pubic, efficiency of cart cleanliness, staging, and storing. The Cart Attendant must have excellent listening skills and an eagerness to provide excellent service.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Interacts with customers in a polite, cordial manner, assisting in whatever way deemed necessary to ensure quality service and an enjoyable golfing experience.
  • Always offers any assistance that may be required to customers in a cordial and hospitable manner.
  • Keeps abreast with the calendar of events any changes in conditions, circumstances or data relating to the golfing events.
  • Is aware of and administers city policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the maintenance of the driving range including but not limited to the picking of all golf balls off the range. Must proceed in a safe, cautious manner to avoid being hit by practicing golfers as well as obstructing their aim.
  • Pickup range baskets, wash range balls and move range ropes.
  • Is responsible for driving golf carts out to the cart staging area as required. Ensures that all golf carts are in line and aesthetically pleasing. At the end of play, ensures that all golf carts and returned to their proper place in the storage area. Ensures that every numbered cart is accounted for. Inspects the condition of golf carts with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance. Reports damage.
  • Is responsible for cleaning all golf carts and balls as required. Ensures that any debris or garbage is removed from the cart and that any spills or stains are wiped up.
  • Assist in general housekeeping (ie: sweeping, cleaning, laundry, trash removal etc.) of pro shop area.
  • Offers assistance doing miscellaneous duties as required of pro shop staff.
  • Assist with all cart maintenance to include repair of flat tires, airing tires, battery water level maintenance etc.
  • Keep all work area clean including trash removal; sweeping cart barn and the overall appearance of the cart storage area and the surrounds.
  • At all times, are presentable, well groomed and in appropriate attire.
  • Refer all major problems/complaints to the superintendent or supervisor.
  • Tracking and reporting the need for supplies necessary for day to day operations of their given areas.
  • Performs all work according to established policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be 16 years of age with valid driver's license.
  • Must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary. Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable attendance and proven dependability.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, be friendly and personable.
  • Ability to work well with others as a team member.
  • Present a positive, professional image with ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills with ability to interpret, understand, follow instructions and solve problems.
  • General knowledge of golf preferred.
