Body Shop Estimator

CarStar Ozark Collision Center (Ozark Chevrolet)

Position Summary

CarStar Ozark is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Body Shop Estimator to serve as the primary point of contact for collision repair customers. This individual will inspect damaged vehicles, prepare accurate repair estimates, communicate with insurance companies, and guide customers through the repair process from initial contact to vehicle delivery. The ideal candidate combines strong automotive knowledge with exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and conduct vehicle damage inspections.
  • Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry estimating software.
  • Communicate repair plans, timelines, and expectations with customers.
  • Work directly with insurance companies, adjusters, and third-party administrators.
  • Obtain approvals and supplements as needed throughout the repair process.
  • Coordinate with production staff to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Monitor repair progress and provide proactive updates to customers.
  • Review completed repairs for quality and accuracy before vehicle delivery.
  • Assist in maintaining repair cycle time goals and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Document all repair activity and maintain accurate records.
  • Promote a positive customer experience that drives repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a collision estimator, service advisor, or automotive repair professional preferred.
  • Knowledge of collision repair procedures and vehicle construction.
  • Experience with CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex, or similar estimating software preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate professionally with insurance representatives.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage several repair orders simultaneously.
  • Proficient with computers and common business software.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
