Job description

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.

The On Call Carrier Clinic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant performs rounding on Carrier Clinic units during weekend coverage. They provide psychiatric and medical care to patients and residents of Carrier Clinic. Conforms to performance improvement standards of patient care as established through Carrier Policies and Procedures. Provides professional representation of Carrier to other health professionals, community agencies, and the lay public. 
Psychiatry experience prescribing meds for at least 1 year required. Psych experience needed, can be NP or PA. Help support open shifts on weekends and weekdays as they become available. One shift a month requirement. Carrier Clinic position.

Nurse Practitioners need a PMHNP certification.
