Position Overview:
The Floorcare Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpet while meeting quality and timeliness standards. A Floorcare Technician must ensure he or she follows the company mission statement and values always.
Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a high standard of excellence.
  • Work with efficiency and quality.
  • Inspect all areas prior to cleaning for damage and stains.
  • Determine washing method based on condition. - cleaning method
  • Vacuum loose dirt/debris from items to be cleaned.
  • Pre-treat stains according to fiber- surface.
  • Walk all assigned buildings or floors to ensure all are ready for occupancy.
  • Report unit maintenance issues as per company procedure.
  • Lift and move furniture as needed.
  • Properly use carpet cleaning equipment.
  • Maintain carpet cleaning equipment daily.
  • Store all chemicals in approved area.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage closets.
  • Maintain and operate company-owned vehicles.
  • Ensure a safe working environment at each site and office.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to ensure duties are completed on time.
  • Personal timeliness. Be prompt with all assignments and appointments.
  • Use supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform inventories of supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in solving guest complaints promptly.
  • Create strong, positive customer relations.
  • Willing and able to assist resort guests and owners.
  • Knowledgeable of the resort.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience
    18 months of full-time work experience directly related to the role.
  • Prefer experience with stripping/waxing floors.
  • Carpet cleaning experience.
  • Must be trained thoroughly before beginning work - mentor (trainer) approval before working alone.
  • Must be well-versed on chemicals and their use.

Physical Requirements:

This position frequently requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, reaching, occasional ascending/descending, and repetitive motions. Employee must be able to perform the

essential functions of the position satisfactorily, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job.
