BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The Carpenter - Skilled Tradesman is an experienced and trainable laborer skilled in carpentry in multiple areas of residential and commercial rebuilding, with a demonstrated track record in insurance restoration work. Effective communication skills are essential during the reconstruction process. Carpenters reports directly to the Project Manager. Candidates are expected to possess a reliable truck and tools to execute tasks to a high standard.
Hourly Pay Range is: $21.00 - $36.00
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • General carpentry - residential and commercial
  • Demolition
  • Tile Work
  • Hanging cabinets
  • Trim carpentry-baseboards
  • Door hanging and taping
  • Painting
  • Light electrical/plumbing
  • Rough framing consisting of re-framing homes and setting trusses
  • Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication
  • Comply with safety, quality & procedural standards
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • This position has no direct reports
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Direct experience working as a skilled carpenter is required
  • Knowledge of carpentry and use of carpentry related hand and power tools
  • Self-motivated
  • Work in confined areas (crawl space)
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Communicate effectively in oral and written forms to execute required paperwork
  • Identify hazards in assigned work areas
  • Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others
  • Meet the mental and physical demands of the job
  • Ability to work with people in a professional manner
  • Maintains a valid and current driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Successfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report background check
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
