Position Description
Summary of Position
The Industrial Scaffold Builder plays a crucial role in supporting the crew in performing skilled scaffolding work, including the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures in various industrial settings. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, precision, and teamwork, ensuring that all scaffolding meets industry standards and project requirements. Scaffolders should have a willingness to learn the trade, develop technical expertise, and take initiative in mastering best practices. With dedication and hands-on experience, this role provides a clear pathway for growth, with the opportunity to advance toward an assistant crew leader position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in assembling various types of scaffolding, ensuring secure platforms and proper safety measures.
  • Comfortable working at heights of four feet and above.
  • Properly wear and maneuver a safety harness with a lumbar belt for protection.
  • Utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Support the dismantling and removal of scaffolding upon project completion.
  • Help identify potential hazards, defects, and necessary repairs to ensure compliance with safety regulations, legal codes, and industry best practices.
  • Willing to work in diverse weather conditions, adapting to environmental challenges.
  • Develop an understanding of industry codes, legislation, and health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations and project success.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures with professionalism and diligence.
