Job description

Reports to the Carpenter Foreman and is responsible for completing a wide variety of commercial carpentry tasks while helping maintain a productive and efficient jobsite.


Responsibilities


  1. Perform commercial carpentry work including framing, finish carpentry, doors, hardware, millwork, drywall, and general construction.
  2.  Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  3. Measure, cut, and install materials accurately.
  4. Work independently with minimal supervision while following direction from the Foreman.
  5. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  6. Identify potential issues and communicate them to the Foreman.
  7. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
  8. Assist with material handling and jobsite setup.
  9. Maintain company quality standards on every project.
  10. Work well with coworkers, subcontractors, and customers.


Qualifications


  1. 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience preferred – metal stud and wood framing.
  2.  Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices.
  3. Ability to read blueprints and perform layout work.
  4. Experience with a variety of carpentry tools and equipment.
  5. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  6. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
  7. OSHA certification is a plus.
