We invest in training, development, and the right tools to help our people grow their skills and advance their careers, while supporting work-life balance along the way.At Golderado, your hard work is valued, your safety comes first, and challenging work leads to real opportunities and long-term rewards.Key Information:Hours: Based on a 44-hour work week; however, overtime is required during the busy season.Must be willing to working evenings and weekends when needed.Hourly rate is dependent on experience.Health benefits, pension plan, RRSP matching, vacation pay offered.Job Description:Work with Superintendents, Project Managers, and sub-contractors to increase safety awareness and improve safety practices.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.Monitor labor productivity and report progress updates to the superintendent.Contribute to creating and execute safety plan.Responsible for safety on site.Lead and assist in weekly safety meetings on sites.Lead and participate in toolbox meetings.Assist in investigation and reporting of incidents.Supervise workers and coach them to higher safety culture and productivity.Manage material inventory, equipment maintenance, and tool tracking.Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.Ensure that all quality documents are being signed off.Experience and Certification Requirements:High school diploma or certified as a Journeyman Carpenter.Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on construction experience with prior leadership duties.Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety regulations.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.A valid driver's license with an insurable driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.CSTS 2020 or SCOT and WHMIS 2015 required.You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions and work positively within a team to achieve a common goal.Leadership for Safety Excellence. (LSE Proficiency level certified)A reliable means of transportation is required.Proficient English language skills required.Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required or certified as a Journeyman Carpenter.Go ahead and be yourself.
