Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Position Location: Las Vegas

Position Overview:

Operate, maintain and perform repairs on assigned building mechanical equipment and controls, chilled water systems, heat exchangers, variable volume air systems (VAV), DDC controls, refrigeration equipment and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in such manner as to ensure optimal relations.


Essential Duties:

  • Responds in a professional, polite, and helpful manner when dealing with customers
  • Completes reactive and preventive maintenance work orders and on project related work
  • Maintains various equipment such as; HVAC equipment, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, Boilers, water heaters, air handlers, CRAC units, fire life safety systems, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and PDUs.
  • Must be very familiar with operations and troubleshooting of HVAC controls
  • Familiar with BAS (Building Automated Systems)
  • Performs other tasks as instructed including, but not limited to painting, furniture moving, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance and assists other trades as necessary
  • Completes work orders by utilizing a computerized maintenance work order system
  • Maintains daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports as required
  • Works with and takes direction from the FM Supervisor and FM Manager
  • Learns, understands, and complies with all Company and customer policies
  • Participates in training directed at increasing job-related skills
  • Assists in training of other employees as directed
  • Assists in emergencies as needed including emergency calls at non-scheduled hours
  • Assists and ensures that all work areas are returned to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition
  • Reports to supervisor any information having the potential to affect customer or employee relations
  • Must be willing to work on all types of equipment to provide total facility management services and 100% up-time/reliability of systems
  • Daily activities will require lifting, pushing and pulling, gripping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, bending and twisting.


Qualifications & Skills:


  • High School Diploma/Technical school graduate/HVAC Certification
  • Strong experience with commercial HVAC equipment and systems
  • 1 years A/C troubleshooting experience required
  • 1 years Facility Maintenance experience preferred
  • Universal Tech Certification (EAP 608)
  • Experience and ability to repair and maintain assorted HVAC and central plant equipment as well as data center CRAC equipment
  • Capable of working independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the equipment, tools, and materials used in building maintenance.
  • General maintenance skills in plumbing, electrical, fabrication
  • Possesses required state and local licenses
  • Availability to be on call and/or work overtime as needed

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment can frequently be loud
  • Subject to less desirable extremes inside and outside.
  • May travel from site to site.
  • Requires considerable physical exertion, stamina and flexibility.
