A-1 Industries is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team and ensure the upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing a maintenance team, scheduling staff to perform preventive maintenance, installation of new equipment, troubleshooting and handling equipment repairs in a timely and efficient manner to support company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified duties related to installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, rolling stock and facility
  • Work with Maintenance Manager on weekly scheduling for Fixx system.
  • Supervise and train all maintenance employees on all duties.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities.
  • Oversee all repairs and ensure work is completed on time.
  • Maintain all inventory and equipment.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections on all maintenance and repair work.
  • Establish strategies with Maintenance Manager to meet workload demands on time.
  • Enforcement of Core Values with all direct reports.
  • Provide direction for emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during shifts and perform scheduled preventive maintenance service and repairs of equipment during off shift hours
  • Candidate must have good understanding of simple machinist duties and responsibilities
  • Perform and schedule regular preventive maintenance on equipment and all site facilities
  • Ability to detect faulty operations, defective operations and report any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Track and maintain electronic records on all maintenance and repairs to equipment, rolling stock and facilities
  • Manage and maintain operational staff for shift hours
  • Direct and assign daily tasks to maintenance personnel
  • Maintain and ensure processes, procedures are being followed. All documentation must be ISO compliant.

Required Skills, Competencies, and Personal Attributes

  • Candidate must have experience and knowledge of including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotics, automation, fabrication, troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment within safety guidelines
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Ability to diagnose problems, test, and make adjustments.
  • To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
  • Perform and direct staff to perform tasks related to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment and rolling stock
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

Education and/or experience

  • Must have 5 years of experience in a Supervisory role.
  • Minimum of 10 years related Leadership experience and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • An AA degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking through the factory and sitting at a desk working on computers
  • Mental capacity to manage stressful workloads.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to inspect product and machinery.
