Position Summary:
The Manager, Sports Partnership Marketing is responsible for translating our highly visible partnership with a premiere sports organization into opportunities that drive brand awareness, brand attribution, social followers, conversion, brand loyalty, and love within the South Florida community. This role is the storyteller for this relationship. They will craft the strategy for how these two brands - the team brand and the vacation brand - exist in a natural synergy that drives consumer interest and excitement for Royal Caribbean vacations on a local, national, and even global level. Key to this role is relationship management, with the main contacts at the partner team, but also within the walls of the company, motivating and leveraging other Royal Caribbean teams to achieve the full goals of the partnership. The ideal candidate has three key qualities: a people person with strong relationship finesse; a marketer with a proven record in sports marketing strategies; and a pro-active self-starter looking to take the reins on this partnership to maximize and uncover opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategize, develop and execute Royal Caribbean's sports partnership plan in collaboration with key marketing teams and external vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of all marketing assets for digital, print, in-stadium and streaming advertising
  • Strategize and develop full thematic storyline, look and feel for each annual season and ensure messaging and visual themes are pulled through every partnership deliverable, event and asset
  • Align, service, and maintain day-to-day relationship with key contacts at our partner team to further relationship with ongoing collaboration, clarity and mutual goal-setting
  • Devise a partnership social calendar, in collaboration with social media teams on both sides, consisting of partnership milestone moments, team coverage, behind-the-scenes access, influencer strategy and giveaways that complement the overall Royal Caribbean social content calendar as well as the partner team's social strategy
  • Devise and execute annual, season-long sweepstakes campaigns to increase brand awareness, social following and lead generation
  • Devise, coordinate and execute impactful player appearance opportunities that can be leveraged into social and digital content moments
  • Conceptualize and coordinate production and staffing for season-long stadium fan zone activations, in-game activations, and other on-site fan interactions that are in the spirit of the brand, to increase brand awareness, lead generation and community presence
  • Ensure adherence to all legal requirements for social media and in person giveaways, activations and sweepstakes in collaboration with legal team; ensure full legal compliance in all markets and engage third party sweepstakes vendors where necessary
  • Design partnership measurement plan and regularly analyze metrics to understand the impact of the partnership in furthering defined brand goals and objectives
  • Ensure Royal Caribbean maintains relevance and authenticity in the local, national and global sports community; provide intel on major trends within the community and advise internal collaboration teams (social, creative, brand) on best-in-class event advertising, activations and sweepstakes
  • Devise messages, moments and events to further visibility and purpose of the partnership for employees and members of the local South Florida community
  • Manage season-long ticket and suite allotments across internal teams to ensure usage meets legal requirements while furthering marketing goals and other interests of the company
  • Plan and manage annual budget to support all aspects of the partnership plan

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field experience.
  • 6+ years' experience in advertising or marketing
  • Relevant sports partnership experience a must
  • Well versed in sports activations channels including digital, social media, broadcast/streaming, stadium and field signage, and in-person activations
  • Able to think strategically, creatively, innovatively
  • Proven relationship management finesse; positive, authentic and transparent personality; exudes professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills; communicates clearly and firmly
  • Operates proactively and thinks independently
  • Experience giving direction, coordinating workflow, conveying feedback, and driving key decisions between marketing teams and external partner teams
  • Strong understanding of consumer insights, fan base, and sports culture
  • Self-starter with ability to maintain poise when dealing with ambiguity
  • Experience creating and managing timelines; rarely if ever misses a deadline
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
