DESCRIPTION:

A Project Engineer's primary responsibility is to provide technical engineering information to a Project Manager to ensure project compliance with plans, codes, specifications and design instructions. Assist in evaluations and solution or potential field problems, referring them to Project Management. Perform all essential functions and responsibilities in conjunction with the company's values and beliefs in alignment with Fisk's policies so that the construction process is completed to the client's full satisfaction and at the Company's expected levels of safety, quality, and profitability.

As aProject Engineerat Fisk Electric, reporting tothe Project Manager,you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with development of startup checklist and site logistics plan

  • Assist with development of quality control plan

  • Assist with and monitor permit processes

  • Prepare closeout log

  • Participate in and document owner training

  • Compile as-built drawings

  • Administer RFI process

  • Develop submittal log and administer submittal process

  • Document job site meetings

  • Verification of project materials

  • Develop and maintain material expediting log

  • Coordinate and/or conduct quality control inspections

  • Establish record and permit sets of documents

  • Ensure accessibility of show drawings and submittals

  • Create, distribute and expedite sub response to RFPs

  • Process progress photos

  • Assist in preparation of Owner Change Requests

  • Assist with preparation of project status reports

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications and building materials

  • 2 or more years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor

  • Ability to perform trigonometric calculations, either manually or with calculator

  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others

  • Procore experience preferred
