About the Candidate/Role
Tradewind Aviation is looking for a Level 3 Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Aircraft Mechanic to work out of our base location in the Northeast, out of White Plains, NY. The A&P Mechanic will use their troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical skills to maintain, inspect, and overhaul aircraft engines, complex systems, and structural airframe components. The ideal A&P Aircraft Mechanic is detail-oriented, has strong and diverse troubleshooting and mechanical skills, is always safety-conscious, and enjoys continuously learning and improving their skills as well as sharing their knowledge with others. Must be flexible with work schedules as business needs require and be able to work on weekends and holidays.
Essential Functions
  • Senior-level licensed technician on first shift, capable of handling more complex maintenance tasks independently.
  • Perform all airframe and powerplant scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our fleet of turboprop aircraft to ensure operational reliability and on-time completion
  • Continuously adhere to and ensure all work performed meets all Company safe work practices, FAA safety standards, and applicable operational regulations
  • Read, interpret, apply and perform technical manual instructions
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic system malfunctions using industry standard methods and diagnostic equipment
  • Perform detailed inspections of aircraft
  • Remove worn or defective parts and install new or repaired components
  • Maintain precise records and logs of all maintenance work performed, adhering to FAA regulations
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on hangar equipment
  • Ability to arrive and be ready to work on time.
  • Perform other assigned duties as assigned

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ Years as an A&P Mechanic.
  • Experience with diagnosing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all Pilatus PC-12's required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manual information, and apply and perform technical instructions
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid US Driver's License + Clean Driving Record
  • Valid passport without travel restrictions
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to train.
  • Maintain an adequate personal set of tools.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to various parts of the United States, Caribbean, and Canada for periods of days to weeks as required for training, repairs or other business needs.
  • Must successfully pass all required pre-employment screenings, including DOT and criminal background checks, in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
