Job description

Jovie
Seattle, WA, USA
Summary:
A bit about us: We are a warm, quiet, and home-centered family seeking an experienced nanny to care for our infant daughter beginning in August. We value a responsive, cue-based approach to parenting and follow our child's lead when it comes to feeding, sleep, and play rather than rigid schedules. We are passionate about creating a calm, nurturing environment and enjoy spending time at home, cooking, and taking neighborhood walks. Both parents work in professional roles, with some work-from-home days, and are looking for a nanny who is comfortable working alongside parents while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and discretion.
A bit about you: You are an experienced infant nanny who genuinely enjoys supporting a baby's development through responsive care and engagement. You have experience with infant feeding, including bottle feeding, introducing solids, and baby-led weaning approaches. A calm, patient, and quiet demeanor is important, as both the baby and family dog thrive in a peaceful environment. You are active enough to keep up with a growing infant, comfortable around dogs, respectful of family preferences, and able to collaborate with parents without imposing your own childcare philosophies. Bonus points if you speak Italian or have experience with Montessori-inspired activities, cloth diapering, or early potty-learning approaches.
Job Duties: Your primary responsibility will be providing attentive, loving care for an infant while supporting her growth and development through age-appropriate activities. Daily responsibilities include responsive feeding support, assisting with breastfeeding transitions, introducing solids, supporting naps without sleep training, and engaging in developmental play such as floor time, sensory exploration, and Montessori-inspired activities. You will also enjoy outdoor time with the baby through stroller walks, carrier walks, and backyard play. Additional duties include washing bottles and feeding supplies, tidying baby play and meal areas, and maintaining a clean and organized environment related to the child's care. "Text NANNY to 206-752-6917 to apply and schedule your interview in under 3 minutes.
