Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional patient care across various clinical settings. This position involves working with patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, covering multiple inpatient areas within a hospital environment.

Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory therapies and assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Perform EKGs, bedside bronchoscopy, and spirometry.
  • Collaborate effectively with medical staff, including hospitalists and intensivists, who are available 24/7.
  • Participate in team-based care across different hospital departments.
  • Contribute to patient care by adapting to diverse clinical scenarios.
Qualifications
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; CRT or RRT certification is mandatory.
  • Experience with respiratory equipment, including Drager and Carefusion ventilators, Bipaps, and high-flow systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
Work Schedule

The position involves 12-hour shifts, with a rotation of every third weekend for day shifts and every other weekend for night shifts. Additional holiday shifts will be rotated among staff.

Orientation

New team members will undergo a comprehensive orientation program, consisting of three 12-hour shifts to acclimate to department protocols and procedures.

Additional Information

Candidates must adhere to a strict fingernail policy, with artificial nails prohibited in patient care settings. Flexibility, adaptability, and a strong commitment to teamwork are essential attributes for success in this role.
