What is a Care Team?

A Care Team is a group of healthcare professionals who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive care for patients. This team can include doctors, nurses, social workers, therapists, and other specialists, depending on the patient's needs. The goal of a Care Team is to coordinate care, ensure effective communication among providers, and deliver personalized treatment plans that improve patient outcomes. By working together, Care Teams help manage complex health conditions and support patients and their families throughout the care process.

What are some common challenges faced by members of a Care Team, and how can they be effectively managed?

Care Team members often encounter challenges such as balancing the needs of multiple patients, communicating effectively across multidisciplinary teams, and managing emotionally charged situations. To address these issues, it's essential to prioritize clear communication, remain adaptable, and utilize organizational tools to manage workflows. Regular team meetings and debriefings also play a key role in fostering collaboration and supporting team members, helping create a supportive environment that enhances both patient care and staff well-being.

How to become a care team associate?

To become a care team associate, candidates typically need a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant skills in communication and caregiving. Some positions may require certification in first aid or CPR, and previous experience in healthcare or customer service can be beneficial. To thrive as a Care Team member, you need a solid understanding of patient care best practices, health and safety protocols, and often a relevant healthcare certification such as CNA or CMA. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), scheduling software, and medical documentation systems is typically required. Job description

At VASA Fitness, we're more than a gym--we're a community built on unity, passion, love, integrity, fun, and trust. We create UPLIFTing experiences for everyone through inclusive, accessible, and on-trend fitness. VASA is a place where lives are changed through authentic connections, growth, and support--for both members and team members.

We are opening a brand-new club—and we’re building the team now. Training begins in July! This is a unique opportunity to train together, grow together, and help shape the culture from day one.

You’ll travel to another market for training at an established club—learning the role, building connections, and bringing that experience back to launch your new location.

We're looking for a Child Care Team Lead who is passionate about working with children, energized by leadership, and committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for families.

HOW YOU WILL CHANGE LIVES

The Child Care Team Lead (CCTL) is the leader of the club's KidCare program. You'll build and develop a high-performing child care team while ensuring every child receives safe, fun, and age-appropriate care during every visit.

Your leadership allows parents to focus on their fitness with confidence, knowing their children are supported in a clean, engaging, and well-run environment. By coaching your team, maintaining safety standards, and creating a positive experience for families, you'll help make VASA a place members trust and return to.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

When you join VASA, you'll find more than a job--you'll find a place to belong. Our leaders believe in our mission, have high standards, and give energy to others every day.

  • Compensation: Base rate of $15.50 per hour
  • Split-Shift Schedule: This role works a consistent split shift from 8:00am--12:00pm and 4:00pm--8:00pm, with a break in the middle of the day
  • KidCare perk: Your children can attend KidCare for free while you work
  • Wellness is a priority! All employees receive two complimentary gym memberships-one for you and one to share
  • All employees are eligible to participate in 401(k) options, and the Employee Assistance Program -- FREE therapy, financial advising, legal advice, and more.
  • 40 hours/week: Paid Time Off, Health/Dental/Vision benefits, Paid Parental Leave, & Paid Holidays

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years of experience leading or supporting teams in childcare, education, youth programs, or related environments
  • Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a people-focused environment
  • Experience working with children in a structured, safety-focused setting
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Organized, dependable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, engaging leadership style with a passion for helping others

WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?

  • Recruiting, training, and developing a reliable, high-performing KidCare team
  • Delivering a consistently safe, clean, and engaging child care experience
  • Maintaining compliance with all required background checks, safety scans, and child care regulations to ensure a safe environment for every child
  • Ensuring KidCare playbooks, safety standards, and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Creating age-appropriate programming that keeps children engaged and excited to return
  • Supporting families by providing a trusted, welcoming environment every day
