About the Role

Miami Heating & Cooling is seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer focused HVAC Service Technician & Installer to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate brings strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, high attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering top-tier customer service and quality workmanship.


Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Maintenance: Install, inspect, and perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and ventilation equipment.
  • Diagnostics & Repairs: Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems; repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and controls.
  • Safety & Code Compliance: Ensure all installations and repairs adhere strictly to manufacturer specifications, safety standards, EPA guidelines, and local building codes.
  • Customer Service & Communication: Provide clear, professional explanations and recommendations to customers regarding system issues, repairs, and replacement options.
  • Record Keeping & Fleet Care: Maintain accurate service records and job reports; keep tools, equipment, and company vehicles well-maintained and organized.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on HVAC technician experience preferred (residential and/or commercial).
  • Certifications: EPA Certification required for refrigerant handling; HVAC trade school completion or technical certification preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities; ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work safely in varied conditions including tight spaces, crawlspaces, attics, and rooftops.
