Job description

Part-Time Physical Therapist

We seek a licensed, compassionate Part-Time Physical Therapist contracted to deliver expert rehabilitation care tailored to personal injury patients, helping them regain mobility, manage pain, and return to everyday function in a supportive outpatient clinic environment 1 to 2 days a week.

As a Physical Therapist at Precision Injury Care, PC, you will evaluate patients affected by motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and other trauma-related conditions. Your role involves developing and implementing individualized treatment plans designed to reduce pain, restore function, and optimize recovery. You will collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care focused on excellent patient outcomes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations, functional tests, and review of medical histories related to personal injuries.
  • Develop tailored rehabilitation and treatment plans specifically targeted toward recovery from musculoskeletal injuries, soft tissue damage, and post-surgical care.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy (including massage and joint mobilization), and use specialized equipment such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously; adjust treatment protocols based on patient response and recovery trajectory.
  • Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, home exercise programs, and pain management strategies.
  • Coordinate with physicians, attorneys, insurance providers, and case managers as needed to facilitate patient care and claims processing.
  • Comply with all relevant healthcare regulations, documentation standards, and clinic policies to maintain legal, ethical, and professional standards.
  • Maintain clinic safety standards, including hygiene and equipment functionality; support clinic operations as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid Georgia State Physical Therapy license.
  • Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
  • Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to document and utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for accurate patient record keeping.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and rehabilitation principles relevant to injury recovery.
  • Compassion, patience, and dedication to patient-centered care.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity required for patient assistance and therapy delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification or specialization in orthopedics, sports medicine, or related fields.
  • Experience working in a personal injury or workers' compensation setting.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Bilingual abilities supporting the local patient demographic.
