What is a fun but high paying job?

Care guides typically earn moderate wages, but high-paying jobs in the healthcare field, such as nurse anesthetists or specialized therapists, can be both rewarding and lucrative. These roles often require advanced certifications, training, and a strong interest in patient care, with salaries significantly higher than entry-level positions.

What are the typical day-to-day responsibilities of a Care Guide?

As a Care Guide, you’ll typically spend your days supporting clients in navigating healthcare or social service systems, coordinating care plans, and connecting individuals with appropriate resources. This often involves regular communication via phone, email, or in-person meetings, maintaining thorough documentation, and collaborating closely with healthcare providers or community partners. You may also help educate clients on their benefits, address barriers to care, and advocate on their behalf to ensure their needs are met. The role is both dynamic and people-centered, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

How does CareGuide work?

CareGuide is a platform that connects clients with caregivers and service providers. It allows users to create profiles, browse listings, and communicate directly with providers to arrange services, often requiring background checks and certifications. The platform facilitates scheduling and payment processes to support caregiving needs.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Care guides typically do not earn $4,000 a week without specialized training or certifications. High-paying roles that can reach this level without a degree are rare and often involve entrepreneurship, sales, real estate, or skilled trades like plumbing or electrical work, which may require apprenticeships or licenses. Most jobs in caregiving focus on service and support roles with lower weekly earnings unless combined with additional responsibilities or business ownership.

What is a Care Guide job?

A Care Guide is a professional who assists patients or clients in navigating their healthcare journey. They provide support by answering questions, coordinating care, and helping individuals understand treatment options. Care Guides often work with healthcare providers, insurance companies, or wellness programs to ensure patients receive the necessary care and resources. Their role may also involve scheduling appointments, explaining medical information, and offering emotional support.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Care Guide position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Care Guide, you need a solid understanding of care coordination, client support, and often a background in healthcare or social services. Familiarity with care management software, electronic health record systems, and sometimes relevant certifications such as Certified Care Manager or social work credentials are typically beneficial. Outstanding interpersonal communication, compassion, and problem-solving abilities help Care Guides build trust and effectively assist clients through complex situations. These skills ensure that clients receive tailored guidance and support, leading to better outcomes and satisfaction in their care journey.

What is the best caregiver company to work for?

The best caregiver companies to work for are often those with positive employee reviews, competitive pay, flexible schedules, and good training programs. Examples include well-known national agencies that prioritize employee support and certification, such as CPR and first aid, which can enhance job satisfaction and career growth.

Job description

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Care Navigation Guide to join our Concierge Clinical team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role:

You will be responsible for curating relative provider lists for our members who need readily available care. This requires regular engagement with our network providers to ensure that we are providing the most optimal options to our members.

You will report into the Care Navigation Team Lead.

Work Location: This is a remote role. You must reside in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, or Texas. Oscar is a blended work culture where everyone, regardless of work type or location, feels connected to their teammates, our culture and our mission. #LI-Remote

Pay Transparency: The set pay rate for this role is $19.00 per hour. You are also eligible for employee benefits and monthly vacation accrual at a rate of 15 days per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Outreach providers and facilities in an effort to provide relevant, refined and impactful personalized options that address the members' specific care requests while staying within SLA and meeting access standards
  • Lean on and collaborate with RNs for support on complex cases in order to effectively route care
  • Discover and communicate trends to your leadership in order to improve processes and the member experience
  • Effectively utilize all resources to navigate complex cases
  • Confirm and update provider data
  • Properly document tickets
  • Stay current on all information, updates, processes, and workflows
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience with care coordination and navigation in a healthcare setting
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing a Chromebook and Google Workspace

Bonus points:

  • Experience working in a collaborative environment
