Cardiology Physician – Madison, WI | Non-Invasive Cardiology Inpatient Role

  • Schedule: 7 days on, Monday 6:00 AM – Following Monday 7:00 AM
  • Shift: Day shifts, 07:00 – 18:00, including one weekday NOC call and one weekend NOC call
  • Hours/Week: 40 hours
  • Employment Type: Per Diem / Contract
  • Licenses/Certs: Wisconsin medical license, BLS, ACLS, DEA
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in general/non-invasive cardiology, inpatient rounding, ECHO/EKG interpretation

What You'll Do
  • Provide inpatient general cardiology care in a non-invasive setting
  • Interpret echocardiograms and EKGs
  • Perform stress testing, Holter, and event monitor readings
  • Collaborate with a team of APPs, intensivists, RNs, and imaging technicians
  • Support patient management including chest pain/ACS, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, and valve disease
  • Round with the APP team and supervise mid-level providers
  • Document patient encounters accurately using EPIC EMR
What You Need
  • MD or DO with Board Certification in Cardiology
  • Fellowship training in General Cardiology; Cardiac Imaging preferred
  • Wisconsin medical license (or willingness to obtain)
  • BLS, ACLS certifications
  • At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Ability to supervise APPs and work in a team-based environment
