Sales representatives educate healthcare providers on product benefits, provide technical support during procedures, and help drive adoption of their company's devices. In a typical week, Cardiology Device Sales professionals spend their time meeting with cardiologists, surgeons, and hospital staff to demonstrate products, answer technical questions, and provide in-service training on device use. They frequently travel to different hospitals or clinics within their territory and attend surgeries or procedures where their products are used, ensuring proper product handling and addressing user concerns in real time. Much of the week also involves following up on leads, managing relationships with existing accounts, coordinating with internal teams (such as clinical specialists and marketing), and staying informed about competitors and industry trends.
