Job description

The Division of Cardiology at Albany Medical College/Albany Medical Health System is seeking an academic non-invasive cardiologist (Assistant, Associate or full Professor) to join our growing team. Training and/or experience in Cardiovascular MRI/CT or Preventive Cardiology will be a plus. This role offers the opportunity to practice the full scope of non-invasive cardiology in a collaborative, academic environment. Albany Medical College, founded in 1839, is one of the oldest private medical schools in the country and the only academic tertiary care hospital in the Capital Region of New York state.

Position details:

  • General/Preventive cardiology office based practice

  • CCU and inpatient consult service duties

  • Focus on cardiovascular MRI, CT and/or echocardiography based on training/experience

  • Comprehensive academic environment with opportunities for teaching medical students, residents and cardiology fellows

  • Opportunities to develop or participate in clinical/translational research

  • Collaborative environment with a multidisciplinary team of APPs, nurses and technicians

We are looking for successful candidates with the following:

  • MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular diseases

  • Training and/or experience in CMR/CCT or Prevention strongly desired

  • Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State

  • Strong dedication to providing high-quality, patient centered care across diverse populations

  • Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare providers.
