The AESC Team is growing, and we are seeking motivated, positive and compassionate individuals to join our team. Job Description
As a Cardiology Technician, you'll provide exceptional nursing care while supporting advanced cardiology diagnostics and procedures in a collaborative specialty environment.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule cardiology consultations, rechecks, technician appointments, and procedures
  • Prepare exam rooms and procedure suites
  • Obtain patient histories, body weights, vital signs, and laboratory samples
  • Safely restrain patients for examinations and procedures
  • Collect and process blood samples
  • Administer medications as directed by the cardiologist
  • Assist with echocardiograms and advanced cardiac diagnostics
  • Monitor anesthesia and sedation during cardiology procedures under the direction of the cardiologist and anesthesiologist
  • Document patient care using EzyVet and SmartFlow
  • Prepare treatment estimates and collect payments
  • Respond promptly to client phone calls, emails, and prescription refill requests
  • Maintain accurate medical records and provide compassionate client communication

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least ONE YEAR of veterinary technician experience is required in a surgical setting or anesthesia focus role
  • Registered Veterinary Technician, in Colorado, or the ability to become registered upon hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of Veterinary Technician experience in a Emergency or Specialty Hospital
  • Experience monitoring anesthesia
  • Interest in veterinary cardiology
  • Ability to multitask and anticipate the department's needs.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Experience using Medical Record and Whiteboard programs in a veterinary setting.
