Job description

The Group Product Manager provides strategic leadership for the Sonexus product portfolio, ensuring products and capabilities deliver measurable value to the business and the customers we serve. This role leads the Product Management function, partners closely with Engineering, and ensures product strategy, execution, and outcomes remain aligned as the organization continues to evolve.

What the Product Organization Contributes to Cardinal Health

The Product organization is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and evolving digital products, platforms, and capabilities that support Cardinal Health's business strategy and customer experience goals.

Product partners across engineering, data, design, and operations teams to identify opportunities for value creation, ensure investments are aligned to outcomes, and guide solutions from discovery through delivery. The function emphasizes customer‐centric design, scalable and reusable capabilities, and continuous optimization based on measurable results.

Role Overview

The Group Product Manager reports to the Director of Product Strategy and oversees the Product Management organization supporting the Sonexus division and is accountable for the execution and evolution of the overall product portfolio. This role requires a strong understanding of business strategy, customer needs, and modern product practices to guide teams in delivering meaningful outcomes.

The Group Product Manager works in close partnership with Engineering leaders and Solution Owners, as well as stakeholders across marketing, sales, operations, and customer success, to ensure priorities, tradeoffs, and delivery plans are aligned. This role also plays a key part in advancing the organization's AI transformation from a product perspective, ensuring AI‐enabled capabilities are integrated into product strategies and roadmaps in a responsible and value‐driven manner.

Accountabilities

  • Prioritize the product portfolio and roadmap by weighing customer value, business impact, risk, dependencies, and effort
  • Advance the organization's AI transformation through a product‐led approach by identifying, prioritizing, and integrating AI‐enabled capabilities into product roadmaps
  • Continually update stakeholders on the product work as it unfolds - weighing costs and benefits with a focus on always delivering value.
  • Lead a team of Product Managers to guide strategic product decisions and ensure the product portfolio and roadmaps support enterprise and Sonexus business objectives
  • Build and lead a high‐performing Product Management organization, including defining roles, processes, and training needed for success
  • Support a shared accountability model where Product defines the what and why and Engineering drives the how , with joint ownership of outcomes
  • Support Product Managers as they partner with Solution Owners from discovery through delivery of capabilities
  • Engage with customers and users to build a deep understanding of their needs, workflows, and jobs‐to‐be‐done
  • Establish and maintain a system of product metrics to measure progress toward outcomes, communicate results, and continuously optimize
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, and progress clearly to stakeholders, balancing costs, benefits, and delivery tradeoffs

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience, including people leadership preferred
  • Experience launching and evolving digital products or platforms
  • Experience identifying, prioritizing, or delivering AI‐enabled product capabilities as part of a broader digital product portfolio
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Engineering in an agile delivery environment
  • Experience with customer discovery, user experience research, and outcome‐based product development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across technical and non‐technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Healthcare, Technology, or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Healthcare IT experience preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed

TRAINING AND WORK SCHEDULES : Your new hire training will take place 8:00am-5:00pm CST the first week of employment, mandatory attendance is required.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Employees are required to have flexibility to work a scheduled shift of M-F, 8am- 5pm CST.

REMOTE DETAILS: All U.S. residents are eligible to apply to this position. You will work remotely, full-time. It will require a dedicated, quiet, private, distraction free environment with access to high-speed internet. We will provide you with the computer, technology and equipment needed to successfully perform your job. You will be responsible for providing high-speed internet. Internet requirements include the following:

  • Maintain a secure, high-speed, broadband internet connection (DSL, Cable, or Fiber) at the remote location. Dial-up, satellite, WIFI, Cellular connections are NOT acceptable.
  • Download speed of 15Mbps (megabyte per second)
  • Upload speed of 5Mbps (megabyte per second)
  • Ping Rate Maximum of 30ms (milliseconds)
  • Hardwired to the router.
  • Surge protector with Network Line Protection for CAH issued equipment.

Anticipated salary range: $123,400-$176,300
