About Us
Cardinal Glass Industries was established in 1962 as a fabricator of sealed insulating glass units in St. Louis Park, MN. Throughout the years, the company has grown and consists of a Mineral facility, Float Glass facilities, Tempered Glass facilities, Coated Glass facilities, Insulating Glass facilities, and Laminated Glass facilities. These facilities are located throughout the United States.
Cardinal is the largest producer of insulating glass units in the world!
Job Objectives:
This position will entail maintaining the cleanliness and order of the building and property. Perform minor repairs, changing light bulbs and air filters. Operating and maintaining custodial equipment, such as floor buffers, grinders and carpet cleaners. Restocking supplies throughout the building. May also be responsible for assisting with loading and unloading supplies, moving furniture, touch-up painting, and operating company vehicles.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Keep building and property in clean and orderly condition
  • Perform routine maintenance activities
  • Perform heavy cleaning duties
  • Sweep, Mop, scrub, or vacuum floors
  • Gathers and empties trash
  • Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities
  • Dust walls and equipment
  • Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Drives company vehicles when needed
  • Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for at least 8 hours per day
  • Experience with using cleaning equipment, floor buffers and grinders cleaning solutions
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and work at heights
  • Safe, productive, positive
  • Able to run Scissor lifts and Boom lifts
  • Okay working at heights
  • Self-Motivated
