Job description

SUMMARY:
To effectively maintain clean and safe public and back of the house areas for our guests and team members at all times.
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least 18 years of age

Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Previous Commercial property cleaning experience preferred

Skills
Required:
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Guest service, interpersonal and teamwork skills necessary to maintain quality service delivery
  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Non-Gaming license
  • Must Complete a 90-Day probationary period

Abilities
Required:
  • Abilities to maintain high confidentiality
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all departments
  • Ability to ensure the completion of all job assignments

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Cleans lobbies, casino, lounges, offices, restrooms, corridors, and stairways.
  2. Clean Dining Room, Lounge, and Kitchen areas
  3. Sweeps, scrubs, and polishes floors.
  4. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  5. Cleaning of entire casino floor
  6. Maintain Front Entrance
  7. Dusts furniture, artwork, and picture frames.
  8. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
  9. Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
  10. Empties wastebaskets, and cleans ashtrays.
  11. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  12. Replenishes bathroom supplies.
  13. Repositions chairs etc. to original positions.
  14. Keeps all public areas in the casino clean of any unused glasses and bottles, and debris at all times.
  15. Reports all defects in equipment and furniture and fixtures to the Housekeeping Supervisor or the Maintenance Department when discovered.
  16. Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of Dakota Magic Casino and of the Housekeeping Department.
  17. Maintain and clean machines after use
  18. Report any Problems to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  19. Cleaning of all casino windows
  20. Exhibit a friendly and courteous manner when dealing with customer and fellow employees

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours. Must be able to walk, and/or stand for long periods of time. Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel. Must be able to push, pull, and grasp objects. Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate cleaning equipment. Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions.
The Team Member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.

Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.
