Join a Specialized Cardiac Care Team and Make a Difference Every Day
Are you passionate about patient care and looking for an opportunity to build valuable clinical experience in a highly specialized healthcare environment? As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on our Heart Floor at The Heart Hospital at Deaconess Gateway, you'll be an essential member of a collaborative care team dedicated to delivering exceptional cardiovascular care.
What You'll Do
Working alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals, you'll provide hands-on support that directly impacts patient comfort, recovery, and overall experience. Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting patients with daily personal care needs such as bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes
  • Supporting patient mobility, transfers, ambulation, and repositioning to promote safety and recovery
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs and other important patient information
  • Accurately recording observations in patient charts to support quality care
  • Providing compassionate emotional support to patients and families throughout their healthcare journey

Qualifications
Required:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire
