Job description

Senior Associate Product Manager - US Card Core Platforms & Servicing
Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology.
We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth and transformation will result in a company with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society and our industry.
As the oldest and largest Line of Business at Capital One, US Card is the engine that powers our enterprise. Within the Customer Services & Strategy teams, we don't just maintain the status quo-we are actively rewriting the playbook for how a modern bank operates. We build technology-led, data-driven products across Fraud, Recoveries, Collections, and Digital Servicing to deliver personalized, empathetic customer experiences at a massive scale.
We currently have multiple high-impact roles and are seeking high-caliber Senior Associate Product Managers to join our team. By applying to this role, you will be considered for critical initiatives across our core ecosystems, including:
  • Modernized Core Platform: Lead the charge on migrating US Card Recoveries onto Capital One's next-generation data infrastructure. You will unlock platform capabilities that drive an estimated $200M+ in annual recoveries, and phase out legacy tech.
  • Agent & Customer Assist Platform (AI & Servicing): Accelerate the evolution of our comprehensive, AI-leveraged source of truth for all Card servicing policies. You'll build and scale the intelligent tooling that empowers agents and digital channels to assist millions of customers daily.
  • Credit Bureau Disputes: Drive delivery for our Card Credit Bureau Disputes team, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and frictionless user experiences during critical financial moments.
  • Fraud & Disputes Back Office: Help drive the core backend technology that facilitates the intake, management, and resolution of Capital One customers' problems with their transactions. In this role you will lead the strategy and delivery, define overarching product priorities, align on definitions of success, and partner with others across the team to ruthlessly prioritize backlog and build airtight business cases for what your team should tackle next and why, and more.

As a Senior Associate PM, you will own the translation of grand business vision into flawless technical execution. Depending on the role, your day-to-day will include:
  • Platform & Data Modernization: Partner with Tech and Data Engineering to decommission legacy systems, refine next-gen data products, and build robust, foundational data capabilities.
  • Strategic Roadmapping: Define the MVP, ruthlessly prioritize the post-migration backlog, and build airtight business cases for what your team should tackle next and why.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the ultimate bridge between Business Analysts, Tech, Ops, Risk, and Design to deliver transformative customer outcomes.
  • Risk & Controls Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement a modernized suite of preventative controls directly into our platform architecture.

In this role, you'll learn the essentials of being a product manager, and we'll invest in you to grow in four key areas:
  • Human Centered
    • You'll collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria, identifying and elevating any need for additional research to define future feature design
    • You'll breakdown business epics into features and further into user stories, driving your team towards lowest effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for a valid feature test

  • Business Focused
    • Demonstrating a growth mindset, you'll effectively use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure your product or feature delivers on real business needs
    • You'll own and prioritize feature development roadmaps, ensuring all necessary processes and procedures are followed to manage risk

  • Technology Driven
