The Copilot Enablement Specialist is responsible for enabling, integrating, and governing agentic AI capabilities across the enterprise. This role partners closely with architecture, security, compliance, and business technology teams to design and enable Microsoft Copilot Studio agents and Azure AI-based solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with KeyBank's governance and risk posture.
This role requires continuous awareness of evolving Microsoft 365 Copilot capabilities, including new features, model advancements, and service updates, with the ability to translate these into practical enterprise solutions.
Operating as both an owner and senior escalation point, this role focuses on developing the technical foundations-including infrastructure, integration patterns, and policy controls-that allow Copilot and Azure AI services to be adopted safely and effectively across the organization. The position sits at the intersection of cloud engineering, AI enablement, and enterprise governance, playing a critical role in how AI is embedded into day-to-day business operations.
Essential Functions
Copilot & Azure AI Enablement
  • Design, govern, and support Copilot Studio agents, workflows, and integrations to enable enterprise productivity and automation use cases.
  • Administer and maintain custom Azure AI solutions and frameworks, including Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI Services, integrated with Microsoft 365 Copilot and enterprise systems.
  • Enable cross-platform AI integrations, connecting Copilot agents with internal applications, data sources, and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in administering Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams Premium, including feature enablement, security and compliance controls, and usage optimization.

Engineering & Integration
  • Engineer and support cloud-based AI infrastructure, ensuring solutions meet performance, availability, and scalability requirements.
  • Design integration patterns between Azure AI services, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365, and enterprise platforms, leveraging APIs, connectors, and automation where appropriate.
  • Participate in solution design reviews and contribute to technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and operational runbooks.

Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Implement and enforce enterprise governance and security controls for AI and Copilot adoption, including policy alignment with data protection, retention, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions align with bank standards and audit expectations.
  • Support the development of guardrails that balance innovation with responsible AI usage.

Operations & Escalation Support
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex Copilot, Azure AI, and integration-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across AI services, integrations, and cloud systems, identifying root causes and driving resolution.
  • Monitor solution health and contribute to continuous improvement of reliability and supportability.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership
  • Partner with business, product, and technology stakeholders to identify high-impact AI use cases and translate requirements into engineered solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to cross-functional audiences, influencing adoption and decision-making.
  • Contribute to broader engineering best practices and emerging technology discussions within the enterprise.
Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in cloud systems engineering, systems integration, or platform engineering roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience developing and integrating solutions using Microsoft Azure services in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience building, configuring, or enabling Copilot Studio agents, Azure AI services, or comparable enterprise AI platforms.
  • Experience operating in environments with formal security, compliance, and governance requirements (financial services, healthcare, regulated industries preferred).

Skills

Core Technical Skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $69,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
