What is a carbon capture?

A Carbon Capture job involves developing, implementing, and managing technologies that capture and store carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from industrial processes, power plants, or the atmosphere. Professionals in this field work on designing and optimizing carbon capture systems, conducting research, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Roles can include engineers, scientists, and project managers focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate climate change.

What are the typical responsibilities of someone working in carbon capture?

Professionals in carbon capture are usually tasked with designing, optimizing, and monitoring systems that capture and store carbon dioxide emissions from industrial processes. Day-to-day duties might involve data analysis, troubleshooting equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with engineers, scientists, and environmental specialists. You may also participate in research initiatives to improve capture efficiency or reduce costs. This role often requires working both in laboratory settings and on-site at industrial facilities.
