Job description

Do you have a passion for repairing cars, assisting with providing exceptional guest experiences, and being an innovator in the automotive industry? As a Body Shop Mechanical Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our business and customers every day while earning the pay you deserve and awesome benefits! We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Mechanical Technician who will help us redefine the car-servicing experience 

The Body Shop Mechanical Technician is responsible for completing mechanical work and safety checks of all assigned vehicles for insurance purposes in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards. 

  • Check parts against estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received
  • Complete mechanical and safety checks work required by Insurance companies
  • Possible body work: small bumper replacements, dash replacements, R & I of interiors on hail repairs and wind noise, water leak issues
  • Notify management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time
  • Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer
  • Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials.  Reports any deviations to management
  • Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Diagnose check engine and air bag problems
  • Experience with alignment and suspension work, as well as air bag installation is a must
  • Previous automotive technician or military equivalent experience required
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must have a valid Driver's License 
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screens ( background and drug)
