Are you an A-Level or B-Level Automotive Technician tired of the stress of straight flat-rate, but still want to be rewarded for your speed and production?
AAMCO Milwaukie is seeking a top-tier Auto Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our high-volume service center. We are a comprehensive car repair facility handling full-service engine repairs, advanced drivability issues, and general total car care.
Crucially: This position does NOT require transmission rebuilding experience. We handle the internal bench-work. We need a master of vehicle systems who takes pride in diagnostic accuracy and quality heavy-line repairs. We are highly interested in service technicians with a strong background in engine rebuilding, timing chains, and engine diagnostics.

  • Drivetrain & R&I: Remove and install automatic, manual, and CVT transmissions smoothly and accurately.
  • Maintain Flow: Help guide B and C level car mechanics when complex physical repairs require collaboration.
  • Customer Trust: Work alongside our service writers to document precise diagnoses for accurate estimates.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience (Independent shop or Dealership).
  • Skill Profile: Strong diagnostic capability and heavy mechanical repair skills (Engine repair background highly preferred).
  • Certifications: Active ASE Certifications are heavily favored (ASE Master Tech status earns top-tier pay).
  • Tooling: Ownership of a professional-grade toolset to independently tackle high-level repairs.
  • Driving: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
