The Role
The Outside Sales Engineer will drive sales growth in their assigned geographic territory within North America, focusing on high-growth Equipment Heating market sectors.
As the Outside Sales Engineer, you will support all aspects of the sales process, from qualifying new customers to cultivating relationships with existing customers to generating sales opportunities for our products, systems, and services.
Candidates must reside in Massachusetts. Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Sothern Maine, and Rhode Island.
Your Responsibilities
  • Utilize your excellent communication and networking skills to nurture relationships and sales growth with our current and future customers.
  • Scheduling and attending in-person and remote customer meetings.
  • Develop proposals, including the ability to perform basic thermal calculations to determine proper heating requirements and design effective heating solutions.
  • Manage CRM data as required by leadership.
  • Efficiently manage and process the various aspects of the order cycle, such as quote generation, order entry, approval drawings, and return merchandise authorizations.
  • Assist with reclaiming previous business while managing and growing sales within a defined customer list.
  • Monitor sales and bookings for assigned accounts.
  • Develop and nurture a culture of creativity in approach to business development.
  • Attend industry events that drive awareness of the solutions and create relationships with key contacts at the venue, brand, ownership, management, and developer level.

Our Requirements
  • At least 2+ years of experience with outside sales and/or within the service industry
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred; other technical degrees are also considered.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  • Proven working experience with problem-solving, thinking creatively, and resolving personnel and project-related issues promptly.
  • Proven working experience successfully multi-tasking while possessing a strong sense of urgency.
  • Proven working experience in a remote role.
  • Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications, documentation requirements, and drawings.
  • Ability to assemble a bill of materials from takeoff and communicate to application engineering and inside sales, the scope of the supply
  • Ability to present consulting engineers our Durex Electric Thermal Solutions concepts and products.
  • The ability to explain the proper use, size & installation procedures for these products to customers, consultants, and contractors.

Pay Range: $83,500 - $130,000, variable pay and car allowance.
