Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

This role supports a fast-growing warehouse operation that refurbishes and resells car key fobs. You work in one or more departments, including receiving and sorting incoming products, re-programming key fob technology, assembling and replacing small parts, order picking, and shipping. The position offers the opportunity to move into a permanent role with full-time benefits and to grow within a stable, expanding organization.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming key fobs and related materials and accurately sort them into designated areas.
  • Pick customer orders from inventory using established warehouse procedures.
  • Pack and package products securely to ensure safe and accurate shipment.
  • Perform basic assembly work, including replacing small parts on key fobs as part of the production process.
  • Support technology-based tasks such as handling and re-programming key fob computers after training.
  • Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and completeness before orders move to the next stage.
  • Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, staging, and coordinating with shipping processes.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties such as utility work, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
  • Work flexibly across different departments (receiving, sorting, technology, production, picking, and shipping) and adapt to assigned tasks.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and use of appropriate footwear.
  • Participate in voluntary overtime opportunities when desired to support production and shipping needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon Hills, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
