Job description

Job Title: Warehouse WorkerJob Description

This role supports a fast-growing warehouse operation that refurbishes car key fobs and prepares them for resale. You will work across various warehouse departments, including receiving and sorting, technology-focused stations for re-programming key fob computers, production and assembly for replacing small parts, order picking, packaging, and shipping. This position offers the opportunity to learn multiple functions within the warehouse and to transition to a permanent role based on performance.

Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming products, verify quantities, and organize items in the appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Sort key fobs and related components accurately to ensure they move to the correct departments for processing.
  • Support technology-based departments by handling key fobs that require re-programming of their internal computer systems, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist the production team by replacing small parts on key fobs and performing basic assembly tasks with attention to detail.
  • Pick customer orders accurately using order lists or pick tickets, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected.
  • Pack orders securely and efficiently, using appropriate packaging materials to protect products during shipment.
  • Perform visual inspection of key fobs and components to identify defects, damage, or quality issues before they move to the next stage.
  • Prepare orders for shipping, including labeling, staging, and handing off to carriers according to shipping procedures.
  • Support general warehouse duties such as utility work, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and remain flexible to work in different departments as needed, including receiving, sorting, technology, production, picking, packaging, and shipping.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and use of equipment, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in voluntary overtime opportunities when available to support operational needs.
Essential Skills
  • 1–3 years of warehouse experience in roles such as picking, packing, sorting, receiving, shipping, or general warehouse distribution.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks.
  • Experience with order picking and packaging in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Hands-on experience with basic assembly work, including replacing small parts on products.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection of products to identify defects or quality issues.
  • Comfort working in multiple warehouse departments and adapting to different tasks as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, sorting, and inspection.
  • Reliability and punctuality to support consistent warehouse operations.

There are currently three openings, and overtime is available on a voluntary basis only, never mandated, supporting a balanced approach to work hours while still allowing employees to earn additional income if they choose.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
