Position Purpose
  • As Production Assembly Lead, you will be supporting Production Assembly Leadership while being hands-on during operational shift. Leads by example including mirroring company vison and values. This individual is respected by all and has excellent communication skills. Helps others to achieve daily production goals. Has a positive attitude and good work ethic. Provides direction and support to Production Assembly employees as required. Responsible for working with metal sheets and assembling, fitting small parts to complete sub-assemblies, or completed units at a workstation and conveyor. Will require ability to work with assembly machinery and operate small hand tools.
  • Ability to oversee daily Production Assembly functions as needed including Business Central Transactions, current and accurate staffing, ensuring work standards are met for compliance and overall customer experience. Develops, coaches and trains team members while creating an environment where everyone can succeed. Will as mentioned required to work in production and on the floor.

2. Essential Functions & Principal Accountabilities
  • Working with Production Assembly Manager and Supervisors is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Spacemaster Product Line. Also work completing assignments and RPO's.
  • Cross-trained to perform all job tasks within the department
  • Ability to use Business Central to ensure all transactions are accurate daily
  • Assists with Training, Development of Department Metrics and Productivity Goals.
  • Promotes Teach, Train, Develop, Recognize and Reward philosophy within the Team.
  • Follows production schedules to meet Customer SLA and jobs in to assist when needed or required.
  • Assists with development of new ideas and initiatives to improve efficiencies
  • Works closely with other Operations and various Teams within the organization
  • Coordinate efficient running of all jobs and tasks and proper use of equipment.
  • Approve or reject job runs based upon quality standards. Promotes Quality Standards and Awareness with all employees.
  • Complete required production quality inspections
  • Champions Safety and Awareness within the Production Assembly Shop
  • Assists with development and training of SOP ensuring they are current, and employees are observed practicing them. Additionally, all procedures are located as required in the QMS.
  • Assists with Management of Production Assembly ownership of ISO 9001 and resolve CAR (Corrective action response timely). Document Controls are in place, master copies in one location and routinely inspected for accuracy and employee knowledge of location and most current version. Comprehension of Department Requirements (IE. Calibrations, Recordkeeping, Preventative Maintenance and other)
  • Assist with NCP Process

  • Good understanding of Raw Materials and assists with raw material inventories as needed
